Privacy & cookies.

Privacy notice.

How this website handles your information, in plain English. The short version: no tracking, no advertising cookies, and contact form details are only used to reply to you.

Who is responsible

This website, accountability-works.co.uk, is run by Accountability, a trading name of Accountability Works Limited (company number 16699570, registered in England and Wales). Accountability Works Limited is the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

Questions about this notice or your information can be sent to info@accountability-works.co.uk or by calling 01788 708095.

What this notice covers

This notice only covers this website: browsing it and using its contact form. It does not cover services provided to clients, which are explained separately when you become a client.

The client portal link opens a separate site run by Engager, which has its own privacy notice.

Information collected

Contact form. If you use the contact form, the details you enter are collected: your name, business name, email address, phone number, the option that best describes you, your message and your confirmation that you are happy to be contacted. Only your name and email address are required.

Technical information. When you visit the site, the hosting provider processes your IP address and basic browser information so the pages can be delivered and protected from abuse.

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and does not build a profile of your visit.

How the contact form works

The contact form is provided by Formspree, Inc., an independent form service. When you press Send, your details go to Formspree, which stores the submission and forwards it to Accountability by email. Formspree is based in the United States and processes submissions on its own systems. You can read its privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

If you would rather not use the form, you can email or phone instead.

How your information is used

Information sent through the contact form is used only to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to arrange an initial chat or send a proposal. It is not used for marketing and is never sold.

The legal basis is legitimate interests in responding to people who get in touch, and taking steps you have asked for before any engagement.

Who it is shared with

Your information is only handled by the service providers needed to run the website and receive enquiries:

  • Formspree, which provides the contact form
  • Cloudflare, which hosts and secures the website
  • the email provider used to receive enquiries

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept only for as long as needed to respond and follow up. If you do not go on to become a client, your enquiry is deleted within 12 months. Copies held by Formspree can be deleted on request.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to:

  • see the information held about you
  • have it corrected if it is wrong
  • have it deleted
  • restrict or object to how it is used
  • receive a copy in a portable format

To make a request, email info@accountability-works.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website can store on your device. This website does not set any cookies of its own and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts and images are served from the website itself, so no third-party services are contacted while you browse.

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may occasionally set a strictly necessary security cookie (such as __cf_bm) to tell people apart from automated bots. These cookies are essential to keep the site secure, do not track you, and do not need your consent.

Links to other websites, such as Xero, Engager or Formspree, take you to sites with their own cookie and privacy policies.

If optional cookies such as analytics are ever added, this notice will be updated and your consent will be asked for first.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
